Leo was found tied up in a homeless encampment. Initially, he was very fearful but with time and love, he has settled in nicely and is enjoying life in his foster home. Leo was diagnosed with Laryngeal Paralysis which is a condition where a dog's windpipe fails to open correctly when breathing in. Rather than opening as it should, the sides of the windpipe are sucked into the opening. In severe cases, laryngeal paralysis can lead to suffocation, but treatment is available if caught early. Leo had a corrective surgery which was successful and he has recovered beautifully. And, we have seen a marked improvement in his energy level.
Leo is ready for adoption!
