Meet Scout. This 10 year old boy was surrendered by his owner to a shelter. He is sweetness personified. He has a wonderful, gentle disposition. He walks calmly, with no pulling and just minimal sniffing. We didn’t hear any barking. He hasn’t reacted to other dogs. He laid quietly for brushing. He rode quietly in the car. He reacted to a squeaker, but hasn’t engage with toys yet. He takes treats gently. These were all early observations and we didn’t expect any major changes.

At his foster home he just became more endearing. He is totally chilled with 2 rambunctious younger dogs. He gained a few needed pounds. He is getting stronger, walking better, and almost jumped into the back of an SUV without an assist. Scout has shown some additional personality by barking at some noises, but stops when his name was called. He plays briefly with his canine brother and sister, but mostly loves to relax. He loves the outdoors, just sniffing the air. Life is easy.
