Ozzie - ADOPTED!
12 yr old, male
Please meet our newest 'pocket Golden' Ozzie! He is a darling little 12 y.o. guy who doesn't know he is a senior dog. He loves to go for walks, is fine around other calm dogs and most likely would ignore cats. The vet decided to give him a shave to start a new coat as the one he came into rescue with was so matted they couldn't get a good look at his skin to check for fleas, ticks, or any infection. You can see in the photo of him in his transport crate, that he has a gorgeous coat! His physical exam and labs came back looking fantastic! He did have a complete dental exam with x rays and a cleaning, he needed no extractions as things look really good in his mouth. He does seem to have some cataracts but his vision is great for walks and getting around. We removed a small wart on his forehead which is healing nicely. He was just a bit skittish when first coming in to rescue, but we've had him a short while now and with all the love and attention he has been getting from our vet staff and twice daily volunteer walkers, he's coming out of his shell and really enjoying life! At 24 lbs Ozzie is about the size of a small beagle. He takes no meds, enjoys his meals, and is really looking to bond with a human. Very sweet boy, we've seen absolutely no aggressions in him thus far and he's such a pleasure to spend time with. If you feel you have room for a sweet senior 'pocket Golden' in your life, please fill out an adoption application and a home visit volunteer will contact you shortly!
